Software orders
Staff can order software via the web shop.
For software that requires payment, the approval number must be noted on the written order.
Important: During the ordering process, please add your items to the wishlist and NOT the shopping basket!

Hardware procurement in accordance with the THWS IT framework agreement
In accordance with a decision taken at the 301st meeting of the THWS Board of Management, the procurement of mobile devices for THWS facilities is handled centrally by the ITSC.

Microsoft Office 365
For business use
For new purchases, Office 365 Apps for Enterprise is already pre-installed on standard devices.
If you are still using Office 2016, you must upgrade to Office 365 as soon as possible. Please discuss this with your administrator and arrange an appointment.
Cloud services / related Information
The use of Microsoft cloud-based services is not permitted!
These include, among others, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Store, Microsoft Office Plugin Store and all associated and optional experiences.
Optional connected experiences
"Work-at-Home" or "Microsoft Home Use"
Via the Microsoft Office portal, THWS staff can download Microsoft’s Office 365 Apps for Enterprise free of charge. Office can be installed on up to 5 PCs or Macs, 5 tablets and 5 smartphones.
Please note: The Office 365 software package may only be installed on personal devices for ‘Work-at-Home’ or "Microsoft Home Use".
The following applications are included:
- Windows: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, and Access
- Mac (Apple): Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote
The following steps are required for purchase:
1. You belong to the 'Staff' or 'Academics' group and are currently employed
2. Download Office 365 via the Microsoft Office Portal
(Users: Please enter your old FHWS e-mail address here until further notice! If you joined THWS after 1 January 2023, an FHWS address was created analogous to your THWS address. This means that the login is usually in the format firstname.surname@fhws.de)
3. Once the installation is complete, you will be asked to set up two-factor authentication for your account
You can set up the Microsoft Authenticator app, a mobile phone (SMS or call), or a
business phone. You can also configure other authentication apps at a later date.

Office 365 – Reset password
Your password is the same as the password for your THWS account. If you would like a new password, or if you have forgotten your password, you can find out more here: Change password.
You can then log in to the Microsoft Office portal again using your FHWS e-mail address and the new password. The new password applies to all centrally provided THWS services.

Zusätzliche Sicherheitsüberprüfung / Multi Faktor Authentifizierung
Um das Konto abzusichern, werden Sie beim ersten Login dazu aufgefordert einen zweiten Faktor für die Anmeldung festzulegen.
Sie können die Microsoft Authenticator App oder ein Telefon verwenden.

Verwaltung meines Geräts durch meine Organisation zulassen
Diese Dialogbox lässt sich leider nicht abschalten. Die THWS hat kein Interesse daran Ihr privates Gerät zu verwalten.
Bitte deaktivieren Sie den Haken bei "Verwaltung meines Geräts durch meine Organisation zulassen"

Sollten Sie die Option dennoch aktivieren, erscheint eine Fehlermeldung,
Sie können den Vorgang mit der Schaltfläche "Weiter" fortsetzen.

Die Lizenz lässt sich beim MAC nicht aktivieren
Sollte sich die Lizenz beim MAC nicht aktivieren lassen, entfernen Sie diese bitte zuerst gänzlich und melden Sie sich im Anschluss erneut mit Ihren Zugangsdaten an. Ggf. ist eine Neuinstallation notwendig.
Alternativ kann der Microsoft Hotfix Entfernen von Office-Lizenzdateien auf einem MAC angewendet.
